Inside The White House With President Joe Biden
Today the 46th President of the United States Joseph R. Biden welcomes Architectural Digest to Washington, D.C. for a tour of the Oval Office and White House.
The White House, located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., is the official residence and workplace of the President of the United States. It serves as the symbolic and administrative center of the U.S. government and is where the President conducts official duties, hosts diplomatic meetings, and resides with their family during their time in office.
Designed by architect James Hoban and completed in 1800, the White House is an iconic symbol of American democracy and history. Its neoclassical design features a distinctive white-painted facade, columns, and a portico, inspired by classical Greek and Roman architecture.
